Positano Shopping and Districts

(Positano, Campania, Italy)

Waterfront viewAlthough tourists really do come to Positano for the coastline and beaches, the town does offer good shopping and plenty of opportunities to pick up some decent gifts. Positano has become nothing short of a haven for summer tourists and so many of the shops choose to target this lucrative market, selling everything from sandals and T-shirts, to designer sunglasses, bright silks, and an array of goods decorated with lemons.

When shopping for a souvenir of your time in Positano, the lemon flavoured 'Limoncello' liqueur is a very popular choice for many and is sold all around the Gulf of Naples and the Amalfi Coast. Local craftworks and jewellery items are also favoured by tourists.

Where to Shop

The shopping scene in Positano is based around the town centre and its charming little piazzas, which seem to almost appear around every single corner and at the end of many a stairway, and can take a while to explore properly.

Further shops are situated around the harbour and seafront, while roadside stalls seem to crop up in the most unlikely of places and often sell fresh local produce, such as Italian grapes and icy lemon-flavoured drinks.
