Getting Around, Positano Travel and Positano Transport
(Positano, Campania, Italy, IT)
Often referred to as a town of 'snakes and ladders', because there are some many steep hills and straight steps, Positano offers a fairly limited number of transport options. Most visitors to Positano simply choose to travel around on foot, hire a car, or explore the coastline by using bus transport.
However, for something a little more scenic, a number of different boat trips are available from Positano's port, using both ferries and hydrofoils. Those using a boat as their preferred mode of transport will find this a very fast way to travel to a variety of destinations along the Amalfi Coast and around the Bay of Naples.

This is a major international airport and serves the Campania region of Italy, seeing annual passenger numbers now exceeding five million. Although you can hire a taxi and travel straight to Positano, a more popular way is to travel via Sorrento, using either train or bus transport. Whilst these options are the cheapest, the journey time is longer.
